Program Details

2 Days 1 Night Trip (Yangon – Bagan – Yangon)

Day 1: Yangon – Bagan (Flight), Bagan Sightseeing

Fly to Bagan with morning flight (approximately 1 hour 20 minute). As soon as we reach Bagan, our car and guide will meet you and take you on a guided tour around the ancient Bagan with the highlights of historic Pagodas and temples; Shwezegon the prototype for later Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawyethta, Ananda temple - a master piece of King Kyansittha, Thatbyinnyu temple - the highest building in the Bagan plain, Dhamma Yangyi temple – an absolutely massive temple. After lunch, you will learn more about the local culture with a visit to two workshops producing Bagan's most famous products: lacquerware and wood crafts. Watch as the skilled craftsmen use techniques passed down through generations to create beautiful items. In the evening, watch the sunset view at Nyaung Lett Phet view mount (or) Sulamani Kan View mount and you will definitely be amazed by the beauty of Bagan while you watch the sun slowly set behind the ancient Pagodas. After sightseeing those interesting place, transfer to your hotel in Bagan and enjoy your night.

Day 2: Mt Popa and Bagan – Yangon (Flight)

Our car and guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and drive to Mt Popa which is 50 km south-east of Bagan. On the way to Mt Popa, you can see country style of Myanmar middle plain region and may be you can have a short stop to see local village life. Mt. Popa is an extinct volcano of more than 1500 meters high above sea level. You will however visit to the volcanic plug (736 meters high cone shape small hill built up of lava and rocks) on the slope of the main Popa. It is locally called Popa Taung Kalat. There are many pagodas, monasteries and sprit houses around the base of Taung Kalat. After sightseeing those interesting place, transfer to airport for flight to Yangon (approximately 1 hour 20 minute).

Optional notes for Hot Air Balloon on day 2

Early in the morning, before sunrise, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to one of our carefully selected launch sites, which will give you the very best views of the thousands of temples and stupas that litter the plains of Bagan. Flying over the unique Bagan area, you will be astounded and amazed by the beauty and diversity of the temples and stupas below you. And then back to hotel for breakfast. After that proceed sightseeing.
