The main beneficiary of the nutrient rich food grown here is a nearby monastic school, home to over 800 students. The aftermath of the cyclone led to severe food shortage and the residents of the monastic school lived off basic staples such as rice and cooking oil, which of course led to the students being severely malnourished. read more read less

You will have a chance to see the old financial district, dating back to the early 20th century with such buildings with faded grandeur as The High Court (1900), invoking former colonial glory, The Old Telegram Office, The City Hall (1940), The old Jewish Office Building (1906), The old Armenian Balthazar Office Building (1907), a number of old residential buildings (early 1900), The Port authority building, The old Armenian Church, British Embassy (1900),  and the beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral, the third biggest cathedral in Asia, and the magnificent Secretariat Building. On the way, we will pass through The Oldest Hotel of Myanmar located at 1901, Strand Hotel, one of the three chain hotels by Sarkies Brothers. The three-hour walking tour will come to an end at the Secretariat Building.  We then heading to local tea shop and then transfer to Yangon Railway Station for a merry-go-round on a circular train. A ride on Yangon’s Circular Railway offers a fascinating tour around the commercial capital offering a passing insight into all walks of life, including commuters, vendors and beggars. Riding the train provides a glimpse of the daily lives of the city’s residents during a round-trip that passes through satellite towns and suburbs, some very poor, that takes about one hour. At the end of the sightseeing, transfer to your hotel in Yangon Downtown. The first step to getting across the river required that we transfer to Pansodan Jetty for take ferry boat to Dala, the area attached to the jetty terminal also functions like most markets in Yangon, serving the hundreds of locals who commute from Dala to Yangon each day (during the day the ferry leaves every 20 minutes). Upon arriving on Dala, take a trishaw and visit to Shwe Sayan Pagoda, small fisherman village, candle making workshop, recycle of plastic workshop and monastic education school. You can enjoy the rural view of the town despite of the fact the town is only on the other side of the river. And then continue to Kanbawza Thadi – The heart of ancient Hanthaweddy was the Kanbawza Thadi and the original Palace was built by King Bayintnaung in 1556. It is said that the original palace had 76 apartments. It was burnt down in 1599. We then visit to Kyaik Pun Pagoda, known for its four towering images sitting back to back with slightly different facial expressions and being visible from far away in the open air without shelter. After sightseeing those interesting place, visit to Bulaeinn villa which is approximately 1 ½ s from Yangon and 30 min from Bago. And then relax your free time at villa.
